From the season 2017/18 to 2021/22, the share of female speaking characters on broadcast and streaming programs in the United States increased, reaching 46.1% in the most recent season. By contrast, in 2017/18, 41% of speaking characters were women.
In the United States, just 11% of the Directors of Photography on streaming programs in the 2021-2022 season were women. By comparison, the share of female producers in this field amounted to nearly 50%.
